Animal Defenders International（ADI）是總部設於美國洛杉磯的國際動物保護組織，致力終止動物在娛樂、實驗和囚禁中的痛苦。主要的使命與行動，包括從玻利維亞馬戲團中救出25隻獅子，並將牠們送往南非的野生動物保護區，立法倡議促成秘魯、厄瓜多爾、巴拉圭等國禁止馬戲團使用野生動物，和透過影片、演講與社群活動，提升公眾對動物權益的認識，並呼籲終止動物表演與囚禁。
他們在南非設立了野生動物保護區（ADIWS）專為從馬戲團、寵物交易與動物表演中救出的野生動物設置庇護所。這裡的動物不須再被關在狹小的籠子裡，而是能在廣闊的棲息地中自由奔跑、吼叫、重拾天性。例如，從危地馬拉的馬戲團被救出的老虎Max、Stripes和Lupe (附圖)，幸運地在方博士贊助下獲得了棲息天地，包含兩座虎舍、兩個水池和一個湖泊；Kakato亦贊助建橋鋪路Kakato Sunrise Bridge、Kakato Road to Happiness (附圖) 和興建佔地超過1公頃的Kakato Home Sweet Home Habitat (附圖)，以便獲救的野生動物可在這片大草原重新適應新生活。

Dr. April Fong, the founder of Kakato premium pet food, provides high-quality pet food for furkids. Such as canned fresh meat, snacks, and grain-free dry food, allowing cats and dogs to eat healthily and grow up happily. She not only promotes the health and happiness of pets but also actively participates in international animal protection efforts.
Since 2021, she has been continuously donating to Animal Defenders International (ADI). This organisation has established the Wildlife Sanctuary (ADIWS) in South Africa, providing a safe, free, and lifelong protected habitat for rescued wildlife.
About ADIWS
Headquartered in Los Angeles, USA. Animal Defenders International (ADI) is dedicated to ending the suffering of animals in entertainment, experiments, and captivity. Through their actions, they have rescued 25 lions from a Bolivian circus and sent them to a wildlife sanctuary in South Africa. ADI advocates for legislation to prohibit the use of wild animals in circuses in countries such as Peru, Ecuador, and Paraguay. Through videos, presentations, and community events, they raise public awareness about animal rights and call for an end to the captivity of animals for performance purposes.
The sanctuary established at ADIWS is designed specifically for wild animals rescued from circuses, pet trades, and animal performances. Here, animals no longer need to be confined in small cages; instead, they can freely run, roar, and reclaim their natural instincts in expansive habitats.
Tigers Max, Stripes, and Lupe, rescued from a circus in Guatemala, have received their habitat thanks to Dr. Fong's sponsorship, which includes two tiger enclosures, two pools, and a lake.
Kakato also sponsored local infrastructure, namely the Kakato Sunrise Bridge, the Kakato Road to Happiness, and the Kakato Home Sweet Home Habitat. The habitat is a structure of over one hectare, allowing rescued wild animals to adapt to their new lives on this great grassland.
Our Commitment: To Reflect on Our Relationship with Nature
Wildlife is also a resident of the Earth and has the right to exist. Through supporting ADIWS, Dr. Fong hopes to inspire more people to reflect on the relationship between humans and nature, advocating for the survival space of wildlife.
