Kakato supports the Veterinary Community Outreach Programme (VCOP) organized by the Centre for Animal Health and Welfare at the City University of Hong Kong.
We provided VCOP with pet food, vaccines, and financial support from 1 January to 31 December 2025. These contributions provided tangible support ensuring that VCOP's professional care and compassion can reach even the most remote communities in Hong Kong.
This program supports underserved and marginalized communities, including the elderly and individuals with special health needs. It empowers veterinary students through direct engagement, where they provide essential owner education, practical pet care, and proactive research to address regional challenges. Key services include preventative care such as vaccinations, parasite control, and desexing surgeries.
This program also serves the initiative, it fosters the holistic development of future veterinarians, allowing students to enhance vital communication skills and refine their clinical responsiveness during their internships.
Kakato intends to continue promoting animal health and welfare in the future and striving to create better lives for animals.
